Women’s golf started in cool but sunny conditions on Wednesday and was contested by a good field of players.
The day’s competition was 4BBB with Di Ballantyne and Liz Mulcahy following on from last week’s good form, winning with 45 points.
Runners up were Beryl Home and Lyn Flett with 43 points. Balls down the line were won by Di Day and Karen Ballantyne, Deb Reilly and Josie De Ieso all on 41 points.
Nearest-the-pin on the third for the Gallery Café voucher was Liz Mulcahy. Nearest-the-pin on the sixth for the Tatura Hot Bread voucher was Terri Wangeman, on the ninth for the Café Alofa voucher was Liz Mulcahy. Di Ballantyne is making the 14th her special hole by taking out the One4One breakfast voucher for the second week in a row.
President Lyn and captain Bev spent the day with the family of Kath Erwen and had an enjoyable game of golf and helped celebrate the naming of the ‘Erwen’ hole.
The Glad Robbins knock out continued this week when Bev Roberts defeated Sheryl Curran on Friday. The final day for quarter-final matches is July 21.
Wednesday is stroke with the Monthly Medal sponsored by Drummond Golf and the fifth round of the Hill Top Brooch. The nine-hole players play the front nine this week.
The Hill Top Ladies are in full preparation for the annual Jan Dunlop Open 4BBB event sponsored by AHS Pharmacy Tatura being held on Friday, July 28.
