Nearest-the pins winner Deb Reilly with Janette Hayward who won the Stableford Event.

The stableford event was played in warm summer weather, with the course in excellent condition.

Janette Hayward had a day out scoring 39 points, winning on a count-back from captain Terri Wangeman, who was unlucky to lose the count-back after having such a fine score as well.

Balls were given to Barb Nation 36, Jan Coe and Joan Hill 35 points.

Nearest-the-pins were dominated by Deb Reilly who had her eye in, scoring three out of a possible four closest to the pins. Deb won on the third (Gallery Café), sixth (Tatura Hot Bread) and ninth Café Alofa but missed the 14th altogether and walked off with no stableford points. Such is golf!

Nine-hole competition: Pauline Moroney had a break from bowls and tried her hand at golf with some success, winning the event with 15 points.

Summer 4BBB Knockout: The final pairing has been decided with Di Day and Sheryl Curran to play Terri Wangeman and Robyn Downs.

All matches were played in good spirit with most games being decided on the final hole or even going as far as the 23rd hole.

Congratulations to the girls playing in the final, which will be played on a date to be decided.

Wednesday’s event: stroke, monthly medal, sponsored by Drummond Golf. Nine-holes, stroke, back nine.
